Photographer’s Note
First climb in Peru in the Cordillera Blanca was Pisco and after a successful ascent which in fact is just a moderate walk on snow and glacier with the most wonderful viewing point, the best I have had the pleasure of standing on. We celebrated with pisco sour down in the valley. Now thats one of the best alcaholic drinks I have had too and I have had quite a lot of experience in local hooch.
Anyway the view was from the campsite were you can make the ascent of Pisco and over looks Chopakalqui. I saw thw many subtle tones of sunrises and sunsets here and eventually soloed the mountain up the right hand ridge as it was so beautiful.

hi Simon
again a beautiful mountain composition, the foreground is very dark but in fact that's making an interesting contrast, and the violet tones are very good looking :)

Lovely colours with the wee cloud in front of the ridge adding interest.
