Photographer’s Note
Huascaran is the highest tropical mountain in the world, second highest in the western world. It has 6,768 meters of altitude. In that day I had visited Llanganuco lake and Yungay city but weather was rainny and I hadn´t seen the giant mountain how I would like. Then, when we were going back we obligated the driver of our bus to stop and for few minutes we got a view of Huascaran, surrounded by clouds but visible in its glory. We can see some eucaliptus in the foreground, these trees are very usual in Peru.

Hello Jorge,
I like very much this image. Finally you managed to take a photo and it is very good. The whole scenery is wonderful, the sky, the clouds around the snow covered mountain and the shady foreground. Congratulations!
Athanasios.

Jorge,
I like your strong blue colors in this shot - and the way the mountain is just visible through the mist is very effective. Well framed with trees.
