Chopicalqui base camp. On the background, the Chacraraju (6112 m). This is located in the Cordillera Blanca, near Huaraz, in Peru. Home to the second highest elevation in South America (Huascarán Sur, 6768 m), the Cordillera Blanca offers an amazing spectrum of possibilities for climbers and mountaineers of every skill level, as well as for trekkers and mountain bikers.

The rich color contrast is catching my eyes! The bright sky light really brings out the details in white hill in BG. Very well composed image with an excellent tent location. Well done.

Hello Leonardo,

Very nice scenery, good light management for this shadow/high light conditions. The orange of the tent adds a pleasant touch of colour. Regarding the composition, it is far from a disaster but one might think it could have been somewhat better if you had moved a few meters to your right and so place the tent in the SW hot spot and the mountain in the opposite NE hot spot. Or perhaps by moving left and do the opposite. It must have been a very nice trip. I'd love to go there one day.

now that's a gorgeous shot - different layers of stunning colors with great depth and clarity! The scenery is overwhelming, despite the warm colors in the foreground it looks very cold and windy. Great shot.

Hola leonardo ,
This is afantastic place for a bivouac , and a splendid composition , with the orange tent as an attractive element . The picture could seems a little too dark , but , on the other hand , that creates a strong atmosphere , and that increases the contrasts with the white mountains in the BG .

Nice composition with the strong orange colour of the tent. Sky and clouds have come nicely too.
