Photographer’s Note
Another shot from a trek I did around the Huayhuash mountains in Peru.
The trek goes over numerous passes between 4-5000m, this is the first at around 4700m. In the distance is the main Huayhuash range.

Great one David! I like the light on the distant mountainsyou captured in this photo, with the clouds putting the mountains into shadow. The thing that makes this photo special is the small cairn of rocks, with the dark mountain behind it on the right. This adds a lot of depth to the photo. Well done!

I like the play of shadow here which breaks up the image and enhances the contrast

Wow, what a view. This is a rewarding result for dragging your F3 up to such high altitudes! Colours and light are superb.
What is the significance (if any) of the stones on the RHS?
