Photographer’s Note
This is a view from the top of the highest pass on the trek around the Huayhuash mountains, from the same place a my post (day before yesterday) but looking in the other direction. You can see some of the main Huayhuash mountains on the right, but more are hidden from view. Probably one of these is Siula Grande (of Joe Simpson fame).
I am not happy about the black area on right, but unfortunately mrs nature was not thinking about photography when she build these splendid peaks.

Another great landscape David.. Velvia is such a great film, thebest one..I must say that I am not bothered about the dark area , in fact I saw it after reading your note..
