Photographer’s Note

This is the first proper view you get of the Huayhuash range when doing the trek round them. I dont think I have ever seen a range of impressive mountains as closely packed as this.
The trek is almost 2 weeks long and it goes over (I think) 8 passes over 4700m, the highest is just a bit over 5000m. You can see the (first) pass here on the left side, a U shape in the black rock.
