Photographer’s Note
Whilst walking the Huayhuash circuit we came upon these round mossy hummocks surrounded by water. They continued for quite a while and it was hard to pick a route without getting wet feet.

Especially taking into account that this picture has benn scanned, the landscape and the reflection of the mountains makes it amazing!
If you plan to make a trek to South of Peru, you will also have tot cross some of these swamps...
