Photographer's Note
We were finishing our Santa Cruz Trek, just relaxing on the jeep until we saw this pass and everybody got up again. The driver stopped immediately and let us taking picture on the other side after we passed this pass.
This picture may not interest lots of people, but if you haven't been there you would be very curious what will you get after you cross this Portachuelo Pass at 4780M... ( It was absolutely amazing... see it yourself, I won't reveal too much secret of this Cordillera Blanca beauties here in TE )
But I went back to 'this side' of the pass to capture different view.

Hello Artesia,
What a spectacular sight to come upon, the peak framed so effectively by the walls of the pass. But it is that peak that is so beautiful, with a vertical face seemingly hundreds of meters high. The composition, colors and resolution are surpassing.
Warm regards,
Bulent

Ooh,
Something new. It is really incredible this POV, it feels like you can drive on this dirt road and bumping into this mountian. Judging from the road condition, this is very remote are. by the time you get to where you wanted to go, you are full of dust from head to toe. You're one tough cooky for a girl. thanks for sharing this rare sight.

Hey Artesia
yes, i can see why people got up again to look at this view.
i can imagine driving alone this dirt road, then out of the blue you see the top of the peak, then more of the mountain, then more again....it would be breathtaking.

Hello Artesia,
A magnificent view, perfectly provided with natural frames. This reminds me of Nepal, when going from the Indian border towards Kathmandu, all of a sudden, just behind a bend, there was a panorama of the white peaks of the Himalaya. Not quite as close as this seems to be. And the bus driver wouldn't stop to let me take a picture.
Best regards,
Gert

Ciao Artesia,
Ciaaaaaaaao amica mia.
Un caro abbraccio
