Photographer’s Note
Who has not utter, then heard this question in his or her life.
A question that seems more then probable, on this slow moving river that is the Amazonia. Slow moving but so much alive, in so many ways.
The river being the major communication link between the different area of the jungle, and boats like these, serves to people transportation as well as any cargo that can fit on the roof.
I am leaving this aftrernoon for Cuzco. This photo is a godbye to all you people, and be sure that I will read your comments on my return with great pleasure.
Have a god time.

A very interesting post this one, Charles. I also like the shots in the WS, especially the one of "Another bored passenger".
In this shot everything is distracting, except what really matters and that is that girl's look. Great work! Thanks for the post!

When I see this image and title I remember our vacation trip to my home town by train which took 36 hours and through out the journey my son asked the same question " When are we going to be there " . A sensational shot Thanks for sharing !!

Hello Charles,
I read the poem on your 'TE Intro' page. Then I saw this picture of the child which is a perfect illustration of your line "TIME is elasticity...
...slow moving and without end to a young child." You captured her expression just beautifully!
Warm wishes,
Betty

Salut Charles,

Charles,
Wonderful daily shot, I like it. I have been to the Amazon in Ecaudor, such an amazing experience I don't even know if I dare do it again, maybe, just because it an experience of a life time, I do it twice if I can. Quality perhaps is not the best here, but The TE spirit is 100% to learn about the earth. Thanks for workshop too.

Yes, her expression tells quite a story. It's great that she held that expression while peeking out through a natural frame, and that frame of old wood that tells us she is not traveling in high style. It's even OK here that you have that object on the left partly blocking your shot, because it suggests this shot was taken in a crowd, probably a chaotic one. (It doesn't matter whether that's true or not!) Regards, Ken.

I'm enjoying your peruvian gallery, Charles.
This portrait is very nice and sweet. I also like the blurred part in foreground, which focus even more the attention on the young girl.
