Photographer’s Note

Two girls from Bora tribe from a small village near Iquitos in Peruvian Amazon accessible only by boat.

They wear traditional skirts specially made from tree barks and painted with natural dyes 'bought' at the biggest pharmacy in the whole wide world - the jungle!

Really nice and interesting picture! These girls are sweet and I love their skirts! You seem to love remote tribes...you should go to Asia also... you will be served there.. ;-)

widze ze docierasz w rozne ciekawe miejsca. Zdjecie przyjemne, ciekawe. Ma wartosci poznawcze.
Jednak chyba powinienes probowac dodac nieco dynamiki do swoich fotografii - aczkolwiek zdaje sobie doskonale sprawe z tego, ze w przypadku roznych "dzikich" ludow czasem naturalnosc przed kamera pozostaje poboznym zyczeniem..

This is a really fantastic portrait of these children. Excellent detail from their bead to their toes! Andy our depth of field keeps the mundane background from distracting. Rich colours.

I envy you being amongst the Amerindians there - was it work or pleasure that took you to this region? I was in Suriname, just north of the Amazon basin but only with the Maroons (African descendants) as the Amerindians were further south.

Hi Parker, congratulations on a wonderful ethnic photo, however one small detail does not fit here. One of the girls is holding what appears to be a plastic bag!?. I guess plastic gets everywhere these days.
