Photographer’s Note
Picture taken last night on our way to meet TE member kikvel. I have no idea of where we were - 2 hours from Assuncion. Thus, the info supplied is just a reference.
There`s a story to go with this one, but i`ll tell you later, monday, I hope.
Assuncion is colorful, happy, noisy, it smells tasty food and people are happy, friendly, and soooo smiling!
Stay well you. This trip is dedicated to all dedicated members of TE.
EDITED, tuesday, 21/6 -
We left Brasil in a delightful bus, and we were told the trip would last 3 hours, 3 hours and a half. As soon as we crossed the border, they stopped at a garage and we had to change to a kind of a van, tinny and noisy and there we went.
the rain began, we had no money (no guaranis, I mean, only reais and euros). 3 hours later the driver stopped in this gas station and we saw a guy talking on a cell phone. I asked him whether we could make a phone call in order to tell Cesar we would be late. The guy didn´t hesitate and lent him his cellphone. We talked to Kike and he kindly offered his house.
Soon after we return to the road, already night, a woman entered the bus selling a kind of a bread made of corn, we offered her reais but she didn´t accept. (We we hungry, btw:)) Immediately a man in the bus, to whom we haven´t exchanged a word, offered us two 'chapas'. They´re warm and just delicious.
Soon after Rinie said: 'we have been in Paraguay for less than 4 hours and we have already had a cellphone, bedrooms for the weekend and someone has already payed for our food - wow!'
This is Paraguay eventually: warm people, gentle and open to strangers.
To Dominique: when i put the cam in a steady place to make the picture of the TWO guys i thought to myself: finally i´ll have a composition without blur and the 3 primary colors. They noted me and began to look, kind of posing... I pretended I was looking to the viewfinder and at the very moment i pressed the shutter a car was arriving and one of the guys rushed to it, that´s why there is this unintentional blur, once again. Thank you for your support, Dominique. :)
pp - cropped a little, played with curves, resized.
hope you like it

You're getting more and more abstract every day, Isabel. For the time being, even human shapes lose more and more of their substance as you go along, leaving only bright splotches of color among vast parts of angst and uneasiness in your compositions, as seen from a (safe) distance.
Are you all unconsciously following Joseph Conrad's philosophical footsteps and engaging in a journey to the heart of darkness? ;-)
I wonder. But I hope to see more soon...
PS I'll be most curious to discover what Roinie made of this particular setting. Fingers crossed... *o)

Isabel I like the contrast of the man in red and the yellow light. The movement is just great.. Bala

What an interesting image! A refreshing mix of landscape with reflection and light. Great color and effect.

What a convention your trip is turning out to be. It sounds like really great fun. OK, I'll wait to Monday for the story, but like the last one, this really conveys the spirit of the kind of travel thatt I like so much.

I "almost" missed this and then as I clicked to another page, a piece of that RED vapor stayed lodged in my brain and I went back. Very glad I did too! Just enough yellow from the bus (a sliver), beautiful vaporized RED effect, and then the deep blue night beyond. A poetic momemnt. Grosse bise, Francis

Hi dear Isabel,
My favourite kind of sky: so blue! Of course I noticed the primary colours here and I have to admit I feel undecided about the blurry guy. I like the vapourish look of him, as if he is magically evaporating, but I also have a desire to see the still photo, which would be more moody somehow, that Hopper painting kind of look. Well, probably both shots would be equally good.
Nice yellow colour in the left hand bottom corner, it almost balances the photo but not quite.

An almost brutal colour contrast of the cold blue space and the almost burning near environment. And the ghost-guy just spontanely burst into flames.
Scaring, attractive and dreaming, an open story that I find soo fascinating.
