Photographer’s Note
Palma street, saturday morning.
As usual, there is an event, sometimes a festival, bands playing music, parades, many many valid motifs to gather a crowd.
Yesterday, a parade of misses, coming from every region of the country, as an advance of the national beauty contest to be celebrated next Saturday: Miss Paraguay for Miss Universe.
A crowd gathered, clowns, acrobats, a long legged walking man, misses everywhere, luxury cars despite the average economical situation, photographers in action...(me included).
A busy saturday on Palma street.
K.
Pd.: This was difficult to catch. Strong sun again!, streets are narrow and there is a high contrast in shadowed areas comparing with lighted areas. Sorry for some burnouts at the sky.
I have more shots, including the beauty girls of the contest, shall I post them?

Hi Cesar,
This is a explosion of colour and action, nice POV... i really like to see the girl from behind (watch out for misunterpretations) and all those Circus actores playing their role.

Way too busy for my taste. My eyes dart all over the screen, looking at this and looking at that, and never ever focus on one single aspect of this shot. Lots going on, I know, and as I gather from your note it was your intention to show a busy street...but this is where a photographer is meant to make sense of all this madness, all this color and detail and put all these elements into some kind of order and help the viewer (and that's us) connect with the image a bit more. You have not achieved this goal here, Cesar. What I see is a clown, a guy on stilts, a guy with a camera and a guy filming it all for the local news...plus a girl with her back to me (in all fairness I'd rather see the girl than the clown). Anyway, post more, there's gotta be a shot in your CF card that makes sense of this scene and lets us connect with your image a bit more...all you need is a single, most important focal point...and all the pieces of the puzzle will fit together.

yes, it is very busy but i like that the shot is of the backs of the women. I like the comparative size of the clown juggling, the towering clown on the stilts and the girls perched on the backs of the cars. it is cluttered but it would also be hard to crop it down. the colors are nice and vibrant.

Its well caught and from a perfect quality.
Good colors and depth.
This little clown with the eyes up to the sky for juggling is a very nice attitude and this higlight and enrich the picture.
The suspended coloured balls are a great element too.
I like it

Perfectly alright photo, with a good DOF and an interesting POV that reveals many going-ons.
I suppose it was quite tricky to find a good position for this shot as the crowd was in constant move.
But I do like what I see and I do like these distinctive Canon colours and maybe most of all I do like the clown's checkered T-shirt that really pulls it off!!!
Great one, Kike!

PS. Yes, why not posting the rest!?

Hi Cesar! I am very glad about the 350D. I still have a lot to learn on it but I like already my first shots... They are sharp and without noise.
It's not easy to take picture in the crowd and indeed it's funny to see that we were shooting in the crowd the same week-end! You captured very well this jungler and the photographer... Also, I see that the licence number of the car with the red letters and the white background could be also a belgian plate number! Altrough, here, the name of the country is not written on it!
