The red gate one at the right is called in Spanish “tranquera”, there is another at the far left of the capture, like the great contrast with the green and huge sugarcane plants
Wandering by the red earth paths, sometime before my last post I met this very kind man going to have some rest and lunch at his house, may be a siesta, they have time to do all of it, being rural life calm, without stress, not much money and not hurry at all
Like in India, people are kind, have no problems with being photographed and ask to watch the photo and if possible to receive it by mail
Returned in Argentina, I print and send some at different people, happy to have shared a bit of their lives with them

Another fine entry in this superb series from Paraguay with good warm cold color contrasts between the red earth and the blue sky. Excellent sharpness, and the cattle and dray with driver animate the shot. The red gate accentuates the effect. Tfs!

A charming picture of this contented rural way of life.
Even the Beasts look contented.
Well composed and pleasing.

a quiet rural scene, and in fact, an unusual travel pic, because it absolutly smells the "inside" life, like if u were part of this scene... great!

The composition is very well organised with the balance between the cart and the red gate. There is a good sense of movement with the red earth being kicked up. Excellent colours and exposure makes this a wonderful daily life picture from this region.
Kind Regards, Ann

Another superb photo from rural area in Paraguay. This must be an interesting country. I visited few countries in South America but never managed Paraguay.
The photo composition is very well balanced in superb light & clarity, the colors are excellent. Very well done.

These colors are beautiful, in particular the red gate and blue sky really appeal to me (i love that combination) but also the trees against the sky, and of course the red path. Such a bonus that the scene has the excellent inclusion of the cart and the oxen seem to be looking right at you! They knew they were about to become famous :)
All the best

Yet another beautiful pic. from rural Paraguari. as mentioned already, we do not get many photos from there.
That's the TE mission and spirit.
Fine shot, amazing red fertile soil. Managed the bright daylight to enhanced contrast superbly.

The sugar canes reminds me of my younger days in my old country the Philippines, we raised sugar canes in our family farm. This scene is so similar to my experience. Good lighting and sharp details. Well done, tfs.

Hola querida Maria,
the red gate is very eye catching and intriduces a graphical element in the characteristic natural scenery. I like how you captured the cart in movement and the thin cloud of dust that follows it. There's great depth and clarity and your composition is very well balanced. I also love the bright light and the very vivid contrasting colours. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great day,

rispetto alla precedente questa foto è molto più bella per via della luce che illumina molto bene il soggetto, il tutto in presenza di una bella composizione nella quale la figura dell'uomo con il carretto appare inserita a perfezione.
Ottimi i colori.
Ciao e buona giornata

Another very fine view of rural Paraguay. This time it's nice to see the ox-cart from the front. The red gate is a beautiful eye-catcher, but the colours are generally very good, very strong and vivid. The trees closest to us also play major roles for the composition.

A wonderful rural scene it is. Beautiful colors and composition. Very peaceful and relaxing. As an Indian, you know, I can connect easily with this atmosphere.
Reminds me of my ancestral village I have left long ago.
Thank you very much.

Bien hecho. Me gusta

After Mongolia, Cambodia, China, France .... you're almost at home in Paraguay !
Seen from Europe we have very little knowledge on this small south american country
Nice to explore it a bit with your eyes
abmdsudi (35250) 2013-12-11 20:25
A scenic fresh green rural scene and I can smell the fresh air as the easy-going bullock cart is there to add interest catching the eye into the shot, being surrounded by such lush nature colours in a very comfortable composition. Superb in clarity, exposure, saturation and contrast. Very fine shot & tx for sharing.

As much as I love travel and wanting to see as many places and experience as many cultures, the one problem we have is not enough time and not enough money to see it all. When I was in Iguazu, I was able to go over to the
brazil, but not enough time to go into Paraguay : ( at the time I dont know too much about it either. For now I'll just have to enjoy your photos. This is yet another very nice daily life image of the dusty village.
Have a good weekend.

I love photos of all sorts of vehicles, including oxcarts. I agree that the red gates stand out very nicely in this color scheme. Lovely layers of colors, TFS!

This picture reminds me my village in India and there are so many like that. But as you said they ask for sending the picture in email is by far a dream for my villagers, as most of them dont know what an email is. Its a nostalgia for me.
I like the composition and the picture overall.
mkamionka (28029) 2014-01-28 7:44
I have read the whole note this time. As mentioned in my answer to your comment under my last photo I am not that much interested in history and some people copy and paste a lot of info from Wikipedia so I usually read the personal part only but skip the rest.
This is a very pleasant rural scene here. You captured the farmer in the right moment just before the gate. The trees make a nice framing. I like all natural colors here.
Very well done,
jmdias (49653) 2014-01-29 0:07
