Photographer’s Note
Midday on the road, scorching heat (harsh light, difficult to handle, )...a pause in our trip...
Walking a bit to give relief to our tired legs...(The RAV4 is too small and uncomfortable to me, even though I am only 6` tall, I get crazy when I sit for a long time).
A troop riding their horses at the side of the road suddenly appeared.
I could not resist to shoot them. They were really kind and looked funny to me.
They even asked me to be photographed.
One Big boy with a huge belly, "panza" in spanish and the other one, a thinnier mate.
Both heading their horses to new adventures. Seemed to me like Don Quijote and sancho Panza.
K.
At rural areas, it is very common to find these riders. They work in farms, they are real cowboys.
Converted to B/W.
Adjusted levels.
Sharpened.
Their faces are dark but mainly due to the hats. They have to protect themselves from the strong sun. Even though I do not like it completely. I decided to post this picture anyway.

Un nombre muy apropiado para este par de jinetes. Lastima que no se le pueda ver las caras a los jinetes. Saludos

Nice shot Cesar;
I have fond memories of these men (who I believe are referred to as Groucho's? forgive my spelling). I used to live in Misiones, Argentina (close to Iguasu), and we used to travel quite often to both Paraguay and Uraguay due to the close proximity.
When I first viewed this photo, it reminds me of the American TV show "Bonanza". Although I never actually saw an episode (it was before my time)- I know the music, and have seen photos like this... haha
Well captured Cesar!

Poster for an old western movie, nice image, dark shadows don't bother me one bit, infact they fit nicely, too bad they don't have big rifles sticking out. Consider adding some grain and cloning out the wires.
Nicely done.

Very nice image.
Tha B&W works well, making the photo look like it was taken in the past.
Thanks for sharing!

Hi Cesar. Funny shot, but not one of your best. The guys are good characters, very different from each other, but both with a very sympathic appearance. As you already mentioned in your note, the faces are rather dark (especially of the man on the left). A little fill-flash would have helped a lot here! Also the head of the horse is a bit out-of-focus. Not so bad if was 'really' out of focus, in my opinion even better if it was sharp, but this is somewhere in the middle.

Hola Cesar. A nice compo with two interesting characters. They remind me of Bonanza( actually I see Daniel already mentioned it...I did see ALL the episodes..). I just regret your tones a bit. They seem a bit reddish to me. And as Luko says, the skin tones should be brighter: I would have loved to see their faces more clearly.

A great smile to the title, and the composition in BW.
This is very well done and perfect for the framing at good height for the horses and the persons.
I like very much these smiling people.

I love the fat man here, Kike - he seems to be a real character!
The photo is not bad at all. The contrast is good, and even if it looks like they're posing a bit, the photo has its dynamic and elements of a story...

This must be the famous pair indeed - I like the harsh light and the rural look - a nice pair of cowboys as well - thanks Cesar - well seen and captured.

hello Cesar,
what a wonderful daily life image.
Good eye catching title!
The two men are real characters and you captured the mood perfectly.
Good POV, nice idea to change to a B&W or sepia tone.
