Photographer's Note

Legend said that when the some spanish travelers discover the lake, they asked the natives the name of the place
Which is the name?...an indian would answer Y-Pa-Caray?, that translated from Guarani means water Sir?
It gaves the name not only at the lake, but at the entire region
Note that in guarani, Ipa means lake and Karay means The Lord
From Etymology of Ipacarai

Photo taken from the field of a private beach, in this moment (being Winter ) with no people
At the other shore is crearly visible the red dust of some rural route
At opposite lakeshore locations are San Bernardino, principal summer resort of the country, and Aregua, famous for its pottery
