Photographer’s Note
A man approaching the coast after the fishing at Paraguay river.
Not too many fishes as a result, not a good time to catch them, although it is a warm wintertime, (more than 28ºC), they seem to be somewhere else...
K.
I feel like this fisherman, after being away for a while, feeling eager to return home, approaching the coast, approaching TE again,
I know some members are gone, I know things change,
and I feel nostalgic now,
I have to return, I must do it

Hola Kike. A good nautical theme in this photo, I like the simple yet effective framing with the view over the foreground boat towards the rowing guy in the back. The b&w gives it a classic look and amplifies the graphical aspect (for which the reflections are a good add). Perhaps you could be a bit more daring with the contrast even.

Hi Kike,
This is a very good example for a very effiecent composition. By icluding a part of your boat you made it much more interesting and attractive. B/w is a good choice, and DoF is excellent. I like the noisy apearance, which also adds some mood.
Very good job.

Excellent use of foreground. I like the composition and the positioning of the boat at further end.

Hi Kike,
for a long time I haven't seen such a pleasant and well thought composition in b/w!
Great shot!

Do you know why this photo is special ... "I have to return, I must do it" ... onde day, not very long ago... i realized that i had quit from TE without even noticing...
Suddently ... no more TE, no more critiques, no more uploads, no more discussion, no more book... somehow i felt really sad that day...
TE was very important in a certain period of my life... and i think i still owe this community alot... and i still have to learn alot with all of you!
Then, in that same day, we exchanged some words over msn and i've read a critique from Francis about me on the Elias goodbye message
That message, you and other members, made me return to this wonderfull community!
Let's make a deal friend, more like a challenge... let's post a photo tomorrow!!!

This black and white is a good picture for the Paraguay 's fishing activity information. You have done well with few elements and Black and white, and balance between foreground and subject gives a lot of strenght.
The shape of this boat is similar to those brittany's sailors were using in the old time.; We call them doris here, and they were used from the "goelettes" at fishing cods in Iceland.
I wish you a merry Chistmas and an happy new year
Jean Michel
