Photographer’s Note
At the folkloric dance event held on Palma Street last Saturday, the younger girls waiting for their turn to perform and at the same time screaming and applauding the older girls at the time of their performance.
I liked their enthusiasm and energy a lot.
I can easily imagine that they want to become like the older ones really soon.
K.
I cropped Isabelle from the picture. She was with a big big smile looking at the show. She asked me too. I am an obedient boy.
;)
I posted a workshop of the Trekearth Hats we ordered here in Paraguay.
I hope Adam do not get upset.

The one with her mouth open very big looks like my little friend who is visiting Guatemala right now.
The composition is fantastic with the shawl in focus and so very detailed.
Cool photo so full of life and fun
I love the hats....
all the happy faces have left me

Nitpicker as I can be, rotating the picture a bit on the left would have been wonderful when cutting Isabel off (gosh, it evokes me somehow all those photos in USSR and China, where leaders were erased along the continuous political changes...).
Anyway, this is only a minor point, compared to the perfect balance of the composition (the triangle formed by the shawl... gee!), the rich texture of the knitted wool, the folds of the dress, and - best of all - the raptuous applause of the chering girls behind, happy to be here, wishing to grow older, willing to speed up the clock of time and face brand new adventures...
But will they want only obedient boys then, more than ready to fulfill their whims and desires? *o)
Wonderful, Kike... really!

Great photo, Kike - wonderful enthusiasm captured in the crowd of girls we can see at the left, and beautiful framing to have the white shawl and red dress as a foreground interest. Very nice.
I love the TE hats, gotta get one of those some day :-)

Bravo!
Kike, what a fantastic shot!
The composition is just excellent, but I must say i would like to see the original :)) sentimental reasons: I must show my kids i´ve been there.
it was amazing for me how they can have a lot of fun, and that energy and contagious joy of life! The girls with their babies worried me in the beginning, then i realizaed i should relax and enjoy and so I did.
My respects to your country, to your delightful people.
A big hug to you.

Hola Kike, I want to catch up with your post from the day that we were there.
I like your angle, the older girl showing the kids how to do it. And I can see that she is taking a proud pose here, which arouses a lot of enthousiasm with the younger girls. Especially that wide open mouth is really nice to see.
Nice moment, Kike, I will see what I can upload from that day.
It was a great day!

What this both shows and suggests is fantastic Kike - bravo to you too! It is all too easy to show everything in image but here so much is left to the imagination but it is also so full of emotion - it lives up to your quest and your standard to take an image with your heart.
Lovely detail too.
best wishes KEv
p.s. Love those hats!!

HOla Cesar,
Que imprsionantes las expresiones que has capturado en las ninas sobretodo la que esta gritando con toda su alma, parece salida de la escena de alguna pelicula.
Un saludo

A beautiful shot of the scene.
I just saw a horror movie and then I looked at this.
It is sometimes hard to judge if someone is excited because of shear joy or because of shear fear.
I really wonder who is the person on the right, a MONSTER? And it looks so big because of the angle it is taken. But then, I read your explanation and with it the picture completely turned from top to bottom.
All the faces now look to me like they have pure joy which is probably correct.
That is why I like this picture so much. It is such full of emotions. And it has a double meaning, which is very hard to achieve. You left something for us to wonder, too. Priceless photo!
