Photographer’s Note
Trust...
What a word, what a concept...
Everyone wants to trust, to believe in someone... to build a feeling of security, to protect oneself...
Trust is the brick used to build a relationship...we need to rely on someone to feel good...I guess this is common to every human being despite the culture and education.
I see the marks of the plate at the girl`s back...That means she has trusted the right person and he did not fail...up to now...(or maybe is a new girl!).

This photo was taken at a small Circus in Asuncion. There are many like this. They have experienced acrobats, clowns, girls..., and you will not see endangered species like lions, tigers, or elephants...
For you to have an idea the ticket to this Circus costs only half a dollar per person.
Children enjoy a lot, and adults too.
I desaturated a bit to emphasize the burning knives.
There was a strong sun and high contrast in light. World is tough for photographers...

Hi Kike,
This is a very good composition, with a very good timing. Would you trust someone to throw knives at your direction? I wouldn't. You dealed very well with the fire. Good job.

indeed a good job, what is very important here is the artistic note you have enclosed - it gives an idea how about the event itself; interesting work

Indeed, if she don't trust this man, she would not be there. You catched also this instant at the right moment and your framing is very good. Bravo!

Impressive and very interesting scene whith a lot of mouvements. I like very much the framing with the upper part of the man in the direction of throwing the knives, Nice colors and excellent DOF.
Compliments

Hey Kike!
I first glanced the photo and moved to the note - what a good note with a funny twist ("maybe is a new girl!")! ;-D
Seriously, there are a few elements I really like in this photo. I can see you worked hard to get it right. And you succeeded!
Partial desturation works great, so the palette of remaining colours is pleasant for viewing. There's a moment of tension in this action photo accentuated by the girl's pose and her looking down to the ground (probably praying) and by that torched flying knife.
Cropping on the guy is fantastic as his head and extended arm are just enough to represent the action he initiated. And he's holding another knife to be thrown which emphasises his knowing his job and being confident.
Great catch, Kike!
