Photographer’s Note
Hi Ters, the older I get in this community the more I realize I still have lots to learn, new ways to explore, new techniques and specially I have to open my mind to reality.
At the very beginning I was mainly fascinated by landscapes, then I moved my attention to animals.
Later on, and thanks to the portraiters (all of them excellent to me) like Manny, Maciej, Claude and Eric...I do not want to forget many of them, now I dare to do portraits,
The list is endless, I just want to express with this that thanks to this community I have learned a lot, and what it is most important I have learned how to learn.
TE is a nice community, and all of you make this a great place to be part of.
I wish you the best for the year to come, not only in terms of photography but also for your personal goals.
K.
I made a tight crop. I also included a WKS in B/W, tell me if you like one of them. Thanks!

very nice portrait, the expression of the boy is the strongest part of the photo, nice colors. but compo is too tight for me here ;) the top is nicely cropped, but i would prefer to see the whole chin, would be better IMO ;) still a nice work

The portraits are not really my speciality but I see you learn very well and it's also the reason why i like TE! The expression of this boy is very attractive and well framed. Bravo!

Thanks Ceser - Yes we all develop as times goes by - and surely the inspiration from TE makes us spot new motifs - I like the closeup portrait - and the pose he gives you. Thanks for the B&W image as well - works excellent.

Hi Kike. A very poignant portrait you made here - besides the strong glance of the boy, the most striking detail to me is that his hair already seems to be turning gray in some spots. Perhaps the crop at the bottom is just a little too tight but it's not a major flaw I think. Can't decide between the color and b&w versions, each of them seems to work equally fine in their own right, setting a slightly different feel. Impressive job.

Hi Cesar
I am glad to see you again
your portrait is beautiful, the gravity of the child and the soft image is complementary
for this reason I prefer the version color with its warms colours with the version b&w
congrats

Thanks for your vouls Cesar and I hope all the best to you and yours. And also share the same feeling over this community!
Regarding the photo I prefer the colored one. More, I feel the BW version could use a bit more contrast to make it gain strenght (look at sohrab work here in TE).
Dispite all this the kids expression is great and show a great appreension. And his eyes seem to be really looking at us! Great framing.
