This photo of the Kunuku Mountains was taken from the town of Lethem. The Kunuku Mountains reach a height of 1000m. The name means forest in the Wapishana language. Over 350 bird species can be found here. The small trees in the foreground are cashew trees which are native to the area.

Beautiful cloud formation adorning the mountains.
The cashew tree has an interesting shape and holds the picture together.
Over 350 bird species? My kind of heaven!

A première vue on dirait l'Afrique! :O
Belle image, j'aime bien le brouillard du fond qui nous donne tellement envie d'aller vers les montagnes...

Lots of interesting pics in your front page from varied geographical apread! This is very tropical with the cashew tree in the FG anchoring the shot well. Liked the clouds floating in front of the BG misty mountain. Wonder why you did not use a narrower aperture for this pic....would have rendered more sharpness in the BG. But well done!

My first image from Guyana to enjoy here on TE, so thanks for that. It is a beautiful image too, the tree itself looks so exotic, and the mists over the mountain add a very mystical feel. Really nicely done.
