Your point of view gives us a nice view. The little orange flowers on the right are charming. The mountain far away shows us how wide is that place. Personally I prefer this side of the river instead of the one you submitted on Feb.10. Well done

Yes, my friend. I do like it! The combination of a great nature as we can see here and your work with this nice point of view pleases everybody, I'm sure. I like to see the natural colors and the angry water of this rio. The cloudy sky doesn't bother me...actually it works perfectly for this fresh image. Well done!

Fine shot, Kristaps, but I think your post-processing effort is worth noting, as well, am I right? The meandering creek and the green is nice but what I like the most is the gray silhouette of the mountain in the distance. Best wishes,

I like a lot the fresh colours and how the winding river leads the eye towards the distant mountains and creates a great sense of depth to the scene. and it's actually easy to imagine how this innocent-looking stream could turn into raging river after a rainfall, that's a sight I'd like to see :)

One of most missed sight for me that you already captured. Little brook, green fields and especially splendid cloudy sky are my favorites all time but here I like untouched, pure natural colors a lot. An excellent shot, congratulations.

I love the way you framed the shot; the detail of the grass sets off the curve of the alpine stream as it leads the eye to the volcano. I like the way the WS enhances the sunlight on the fields.

Hello Kristaps,
You must have felt that you were on top of the world up on this high plateau! A fantastic, almost otherworldly image of this strange and beautiful country. The Ecuadorean lighting is the most unusual lighting that I have ever seen (the Colorado high country has some similarities this Ecuadorean scene...sans volcanos). The lighting was challenging to capture, but the results are amazing. The dappled sunlight, the rain clouds in the distance, and the composition is all outstanding! Beautiful landscape!

une très belle photo encore sur cette région équatoriale assez aride, tempérartures et humidité sans doute adéquates pour cette végétation.
Magnifque paysage bien coloré. Excellent cadrage vec la rivière décentrée, joleis couleurs.

AGain here a view that feels icelandic as I imagine it from TE becuase I have never been there, you have depth and those red dots on the right side (stones I understood), the WS proposal is interesting but a bit too exagerated imho.

Hi Kristaps, every photo from your trip to Ecuador are amazing.
This just gives you a sense of being in the middle of nowhere, you could have a entire town behind you, but you can't tell. The creek keeps going and going and makes you eyes follow the path until it disappears. Great POV and colors. Nice composition.

Hi; Kristaps. The stream leads us well into the image with the banks narrowing to the summit of the foreground triangle. The stones on the right side give a good balance to the foreground and contrast with the grass. The volcano is a liitle hazy, but you were not very lucky with the light on taht day. The sky is quite dramatic with all those big clouds.

These Ecuador landscapes are really amazing, indeed. Once again, I like the focus you have chosen on the small river and the smooth grassy slopes contrasting with the sharpness of the volcanic rocks. What are the orange spots on the right side? Are they due to the presence of lychens or some kind of moss?

Kristaps,
obviously we always prefer to have pristine weather conditions when getting our shot, but I learned over the last two years that "bad weather" conditions might make a landscape look even better and dramatic. That is exactly what happened to this shot here. The colors are very good, saturation on spot! I just think that you could have darkened the sky on PP.

Now that you mention it, this is so closely reminiscent of my travels in Iceland in july 2004, exactly the same kind of green but treeless landscape with the same skies, too bad the sun didn't light the fg, but still nice.
