[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Indian farmers block Carretera Panamericana in the province of Cotopaxi, protesting against government failure to improve local infrastructure. There was tear gas used on the blockade that lasted few days, but no serious victims. I spent with them 2 days documenting events. I put photo also in category transportation, cause its an roadblock, innit?

Pretty much like in my country, blocking highways, protesting, burning tires (and here, sometimes destroying private property). Latin americans have somehow the same methods, or are they world-wide known? But if someone is on the other side, suffering from that blockade, is a different story. I've been once, and I know that no one has the right to block a highway. There should be a better way to protest.

...Y PASSARAN?mUY BUENNA,....

It's a talking photo and tells the situation very well. Especially I like the man looking. He seems to ask something to himself. I hope he finds the answer.

good stuff Swiatek, i like this composition, the picture tells a story, good work

I like the contrast between the rural looking farmer and the industrial looking black smoke. He seems a bit distracted... I wonder by what. A powerful image.

Great photos tell a story, as does this one. Thanks.

Dave

great PJ work. you angle is absulotely ideal since we can see what happens in the background as well as the face. cause and effect together.
excellent shot, very well done.

Super scenka, gratuluje

Love the angle you picked (shooting from above and side) and the overall composition. The fire creates a sense of tension / event happening, that emphasises the facial expression.

wow, superlative shot. full of action and emotion is a very terse, economical form. its effective without being melodramatic. One of the best images I've seen on TE.

Super bir kompozisyon. Bravo. Cok acik bir anlatim.
