Photographer’s Note

This photo was taken during a trip to the top of Teligote, the small peak just outside of Salasaca. We went one day with a couple of friends - locals from the Salasaca area - with the idea of calculating about how long the hike takes, what the best route was, etc. It was a beautiful day and we almost made it to the top, although at the last minute some low clouds came in, shrouding the rest of the (makeshift) path and forcing us to turn back. The total time was about 5.5 hours, starting and ending in central Salasaca. Here is one of the views along the way.
