I will say that usually I am not too crazy about portraits of kids (way too many pictures of cute children if you know what I mean), but this one does it for me. Not only her eyes, but her red cheeks, mouth wide open, clothing, it all adds up to a beautifull travel portrait that goes beyond just another cute kid shot.

Kids are salways nice subject and this one is lovely looking surprised and the picture is sharp and has good colours.

An extremely alluring picture. The girl's eyes are mesmerising & says so much. The colour of her shawl & her cheeks (is that natural?)makes this a superb portrait shot.

did i guess correctly? this is your favorite model from ecuador, right?

in any case, amazing... the stare, the sparks in her eyes, the coloring of ther attire and the background, the expression, the red cheeks (i'm a bit worried: was it frostbite?)... marvellous!

interesting, the attire she is wearing: poncho with leather jacked and a pilot-hat... did not see anything like it in ecuador. the hair color too, seems a bit light for an ameri-indian girl (i assumed that since you mentioned she was from high in the andes). probably she is a mestizo.

anyway, the main point: love this shot. goes straight to my favorites. i can see why this her stare is still haunting you.
