Photographer’s Note
The picture was taken in Huigra. Huigra is a city on the train connection from Riobamba to Guayaquil. After a landslide on the line (in 2003???) is that connection impassable, so that the train only passed until Sibambe. The people there lived from that "train" tourism. Now the city looks like a ghost town. The gouvernment has planned a rebuild of that train connection in the future (Hopefully).

The subject and the composition are really good, the colours are a little soft (and I noticed that TE doesn't reward soft colours), but I like. Compliments, Donatella

mario
wonderful portrait. The old woman watching something in the right side, the empty space in front of her, the patterns of the stones in the wall.

Hi Mario
Nice portrait, you really have captured an interesting character here. She must have a lot of stories to tell. Very sharp with good detail. Well done.
Ben
