[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The picture was taken in Huigra. Huigra is a city on the train connection from Riobamba to Guayaquil. After a landslide on the line (in 2003???) is that connection impassable, so that the train only passed until Sibambe. The people there lived from that "train" tourism. Now the city looks like a ghost town. The gouvernment has planned a rebuild of that train connection in the future (Hopefully).

wonderful portrait. The old woman watching something in the right side, the empty space in front of her, the patterns of the stones in the wall.
