Photographer’s Note
The second photo in my series on the beggers of Cuenca.
I feel a little sorrow everytime I listed a photo like this under the "Daily Life" category. This is how these people live. Their way of life is begging. Asking for the kindness of others. When I gave this woman some money, I recieved a mutter of thank you and was only left with more grief. There was no joy in her voice, no sign of happiness at the money she just received. Can life be so unfortunately that the kindness of a stranger brings no hope? I hope not.

the ws has to show there to me why I did not understand this photograph and the preceding one are very wise in the compo and it misses a little emotion.
but in other hand, you are very respectful not to add of advantage of pathos of the photographs. it is very difficult to take.

Great composition and good use of DOF here. It makes her look alone and sad. Good capture.
