Photographer’s Note

Cuenca is one of the main centres of panama hat production in Ecuador. In the market area there are a few shops that have been producing and selling high-quality hats since decades. As the hats are quite expensive, many people prefer to make renew them from time to time rather than buy a new one. So in the shops there are hundreds of "reborn" hats waiting for their faithful owners.

Hi Andras,

Very nice image I like it. The bulb is a little bit distracting for my taste (I even try to avoid looking at it like in real life...)but overall is a very nice capture.

What a beautiful capture. It seems a hat's fall, big as the Niagara! Seriously, I like the dinamic effect you has reached here. All the hats are equals, but there is no monotony here, the whole frame is in movement, as a circle turning non stop. Very very beautiful! Thanks.

Great shot Andres- well spotted!

The random pattern of hats makes for a great composition and the high f/stop ensures they are all in sharp focus.
If I was there- I reckon I would have bought one!
