Hi Kristine,
ahhh, so this is a pathway. I was wondering how the horse got there in your last post...now I get the answer! I couldn't imagine a better shot from the same pov, but here you are to prove it's possible. Which one? Both! The addition of the human element changes the atmosphere of the scene. Well done!
Regards,
Carlos

Hello Kristine.
A nice perspective, thank to the three human figures (the rider, the child and the third person coming back) aligned on a slash line.
Well done.
Best regards.

Hi Kristine,
another gem from Ecuador! GREAT follow-up to the "highland horse", same wonderful technique.
Brilliant angle, brilliant colors, perfect framing.
Strictly IMNAAHO : I wouldn't bother telling everybody how you do things (see : EXIF data)... You're working hard, let everybody else work hard too! LOL!!!
Have a wonderful day, see ya soon.
Ciao,
Fulvio.

Hola Kristine,
Bellisima fotografia. I like this shot as much as the one you posted a few days ago.
Love the composition , POV, and sharpness.
The additionn of the lady and the kids with their colorful dress makes this photo exceptional.
bravo!
take care, joRge
hey there :)
i love this one. how the procession is curving around the rock; the red color accents contrasting almost pastel rock; the little jumpy bouncy kid. the whole scene strongly reminds me of paintings by our painter maija tabaka. great shot! just 'el condor pasa' music is missing in the background ;)
with hugs,
k.
ps. i could not resist a little workshop ;)
Dear Kristine,
I did not see your previous one, but comparing it to this one i like this one much more. The red of her shirt, what a great impact..!!! Bit also the two kids behind and the first one in the blue poncho, did you ask them to dress like that? ;-)
Excellent pov, very creative and gives absolute something extra to the image....well done, i really like this.

Hello Kristine,
splendid composition with the curved path, but the great fascination are the the big rocks and the people there and the marvelous contrast between them. The hues and tones of the rocks in particular are stunning and seen with great clarity. A first rate capture. Brava.
All the best.

Hi Kristine
Anohter well captured moment. Your last submission "highland horse" was perhaps taken from the very same angle. This too looking very fantastic specially the texture of stone wall. Very well composed and well managed POV.

hej kristine
this is also a very fine image locals in colorful dresses and so. but...it don't have that magic as the other one and it's very hard to analyze why, and don't think I'm going to do it either. just establish a fact this is good the other was a pice of art.

Hi, Kristine -
OK, now I see how the horse got there! Nice use of curves, color and positioning. The rider looks like she has clown spots on her cheeks?

Kristine,
Another very nice image, I like this one as much if not better than your last post, it has human elements to it. I like the colorful and striking costumes of the Inca or Quechua people. So bright and saturated against the muted canyon and backdrop, per half almost too outstanding that it downplay the natural environment.
Technically all is good, composition, sharpness, clarity... you got it just right. Thanks for sharing and your keen observation and nice comments on my post.

Hi Kristine,
It looks... risky, can this possibly be worse than a bolivian road ???
I like the great clarity in thims image and the strongly saturated red, why are Nikonists the ones who always saturate red most... ;-)
The scene is nice and I get to see here the wide angle effet I like a lot, even though it is more limited here than on a pure landscape, the stretching of the rocky cliff on the left and the clouds on the right tell about it.
Have a nice day JY

Kristine, this is very nice, this is one that I would have on my wall if it was my shot. The color saturation is awesome and the composition unusual enough that it draws one in. On the living room wall in some large size I can see this one starting endless conversations about the story this frame just screams. Great capture.

Hi Kristine
Splendid composition very well captured by a special POV. We can feel the effort expresses at the woman's face. The huge stone wall is impressive and we have a sensation that we are inside of hollow underground passage. Beautiful colors and contrasts. Well done! Best regards, Consuelo

Hi Kristine.
Between this one and your previous post I think I prefer this one, maybe because it's more open to the right and it allows to see better the road to go home. The tree persons in diferents places help to give to the shot more depth.I like it.
Best wishes,and nice weekend,

hi Kristine
Today I see 2 shots of horse rides! And really superb to ride a horse to such great heights in this place. I like the always colorful dress of Ecuardo people. Very good composition using the layers of rock at the cliff side. Good shot.

Hi Kristine,
I like the depth of this photo and the way you've used the lines on the rock to lead our eye from the foreground to the back. The persons and their clothes add a pleasant colorful touch to the composition. I was in Ecuador in 1995, but I never heard of the Quilotoa Loop. Is this a popular trek?
Cheers,
Brigitte

Hi Kristine
Beautiful Ecuador, along with Peru and Bolivia, quite extraordinary terrain and the people are just friendly as anything - You gotta love South America. Pure brilliance in your capture, the horse has excellent midtone & shadow detail and the kids tagging along behind makes for a great scene coupled with the terrain to the left. Vibrant coloured reds add to the scene.
Well done

Hello Kristine. I like the strong contrasting colors in your gallery. This is stunning with the super wide lens capturing vivid details of the rock face. The human figures add life and perspective and so well composed. I like it and please allow me to add this in my favorite list. Well done and best regards. Jusni
Hello,
this one strikes with its beauty to, but I prefer the horse. Maybe because I saw it first. Who knows. Anyway, this one is superb also. Seeing three women in place like this is for me totally unexpected but on the other hand it seems like a natural environment for them. Their colourful clothing is in total contrast to surrounding scenery which makes this contradiction even greater. It is a one hell of a shot!

Jeri

A very nice scene from daily life of Ecuador people, Kristine. The lines of the rocks are such a visual treat, almost as if 'leading' into the most important part with the people. Needless to say, such a cute touches of strong red details contrasting this gloomy background.
Great work!
regards
Marija
p.s. Do you know the song 'Ecuador' by Sash? its one of my favorites when I need something to 'energize' me :))

Hi Kristine,
magnificent dynamism and vertiginous scene thanks to the excellent POV (from the heights), the image seems to take to speed through the stone wall and the passage of the horse.
The depth of image alongside straight is fantastic, through valley. Great presence of the people locate who us in the scene!

Hello Kristine
If your earlier picture was amazing, this is no less. The atmosphere is the same yet different, a little lesser on the wild side, if I may say, because of the people. Eye popping red dress of the lady, the blue poncho & red hat on the cute girl all add to the beauty. A delight to my eyes!
Best Regards
