Photographer’s Note
already last week I decided that on Fridays I'd try and post something that I feel fits the T.G.I.F.! (Thanks God It's Friday!) mood. therefore, to continue my Friday yoga class, here's a photo form the incredibly colourful city of Baños and it's Buenavista Disco.
Baños is located on the northern foothills of the Tungurahua volcano. it's named after the hydrothermal springs of mineral water located around the city. the city is also a Roman Catholic religious center, as some Catholic believers say that the Virgin Mary appeared nearby a waterfall, so a sculpture of the virgin, called Virgen de Agua Santa, was placed in the cathedral.

for Jeri, who likes colours. it's girls' night out!

Hi Kristine, I love this one!!!! It is a piece of art. something that could be hanging on somebody's family room. Love the colors and the composition. And particulary on this photo I think your framing with the shadow makes it even better.
Love it!!!!

I am already in the mood for a little workout ;) And? Did you go dancing? I like that Buenavista Discotec sign in the back there and I can imagine what went on once the night grew older. A colorful start for a wonderful weekend, and I personally can use a little extra treat when I look outside my window. Thick fog or I'd rather call it smog! You have an excellent eye for these colorful details bringing daylight to a grey day. Hot stuff! Barbara.

Hi Kristine,
Another wonderful colorful shot from your Ecuador series. Love the vivid colors. The english translation of 'Buena Vista' is 'Good View' and you have done an excellent job capturing a 'good view'
Did you dance the salsa in that club? :)).
Take care

Hello Kristine:
Welcome to the magical world of street artist.
A beautiful composition, which is the most essential management compared to the light color, one striking scene, full of creativity, which it has captured very well, with good balance.

HI Kristine! great colors and perfect light: you've taken the color of the door as the one of the wall... we could imagine that also the door is just painted! Wit this palette, however, how can we refuse to enter and dance?

Hi Kristine,
This is a wonderful capture of the festive side of the South American character. You composed this motif perfectly and the sharpness is excellent. This fabulous photograph is the quintessential Trek Earth image. It speaks volumes about travel photography and the travel photographer (The "Soldier of Fortune" travel photographer...you). You have an exquisite eye for unusul shots and a wonderful curiosity! This is an exceptional Trek Earth travel image which captures the gist of the Trek Earth theme. Marvelous!

Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo thanks! :))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
I'm already there. :) Yes, yes, colours. And a doorway to cartoon world. I remember seeing fairy-tale like movie which started as all movies does. It was about boy who found the door and when entering, he was in a cartoon world and he was part of it. And I guess this is how I feel colours, as a pleasant escape from usually gray and dull world. Now this is so nice and at the same time so frustrating cause I obviously just used the last d*** green smiley. :( Well I will make it up to you tonight when we meet when entering this door. :) Thank you so much. This is...well you know...and dangerously coming to this over emotional point so I'll shut up now. :)
Kindest kindest regards,
Jeri :)

Oh, Kristine,
this is SUCH a lively shot! I love all those bold colors and that modern art looking scene. This would make a marvelous poster. So many cool lines and shapes and angles with superb clarity and detail. I especially like the door that doesn't even look like a real door. :)) This is an incredibly fun shot! Many thanks and warmest regards,

hi Kristine,
The vibrant colors make this leap off the screen ... even from the thumbnail .. the one locked door grabs our attention due to how much it doesn't leap out .. really great image that grabs you right off and then is intriguing to look at ...

Hi Kristine, beautiful colour seen in this one. You don't need to jack up the saturation, though if you did I doubt in this case anyone would mind. This is looking very festive. Disco still alive and well in Ecuador. Nice capture.
Thanks, John

Great artwork and great photo. Your color editing is perfect. I just miss a person passing by by that door to lend some humanity to it. But it's cool the way it is. Those colors are really lively.
