[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I was in Salasaca a few weeks ago and took many, many shots of the landscape at sunset, with the hopes of stitching together a panorama. That effort didn't pay off, but on my way back I took a look up - almost straight up - and saw these cloud formations that I had missed during my earlier shooting. It was about 7:00 in the evening when I took this photo, facing in a sort of northwesterly direction (I think).

I took a rather similar shot in Quito. Lower cloud layers looking very dark and brihgt ones higher. The colors are incredible. I wonder if it has anything to do with the ecuadorian landscape or something. Never seen sunsets like these in Europe.
