Dogs are a common sight in a lot of the rural communities I have visited in central Ecuador. In general they tend to be very feisty, barking at strangers and chasing all of the vehicles that drive by. Some, however, tend to have a more laid-back attitude, wandering around but paying little mind to passersby.
I have seen this particular dog (pictured at about 3.5 months of age) on and off since it was a pup. Whether he will end up being another perro bravo (mean dog) remains to be seen. |
