The children here are students in the Unidad Educativa Casahuala, located in the rural community of Illagua Chico (in the highland zone of Quisapincha in central Ecuador).
The community is located at an altitude of about 3400 meters and its inhabitants are native speakers of Kichwa and speak Spanish as a second language.
The children were gathered here as part of a farewell after the completion of a small project to paint murals on the school´s outside walls, seen in the background. Some of them assisted with the painting activities but mostly they just watched, providing laughter when needed.
Los niños que se ven aquí son alumnos de la Unidad Educativa Casahuala, ubicada en la comunidad de Illagua Chico en la zona alta de Quisapincha (por la parte central del país).
La comunidad está a una altura de más o menos 3400 metros, y sus habitantes hablan Kichwa principalmente, pero también el español como segundo idioma.
Estos niños estaban ahí para la despedida, luego de que se terminó un pequeño proyecto para pintar unos murales en la parte exterior de la escuela (en el fondo). Unos ayudaron pero la mayoría sólo miraba, encargándose de hacernos reir cuando más se necesitaba. |

Nice shot of very joyful childrens. Lighting is little bit harsh but framing is good. The paintings on background wall are not very clearly visible. It would have been better you could capture it from a distance little bit closer that the present one. Thanks for sharing.
