| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This photo is of a group of compañeros from the community of Illagua Chaupiloma (3400 m) in the highland zone of Quisapincha. The four were working on a construction project and asked me to take their picture. Great poses!
One notices, however, a marked difference between the attitudes of these men when compared with the women in the community, who in general are much more timid, hesitant to speak Spanish (their native language is Kichwa) and even more hesitant to have their photo taken.
Esta foto es de un grupo de compañeros de la comunidad de Illagua Chaupiloma (3400m), ubicada en la zona alta de Quisapincha. Los cuatro estaban trabajando en una construcción y me pidieron que les tome la foto. Buenas poses!
Sin embargo se nota la marcada diferencia de actitud entre los hombres y mujeres de la comunidad, ya que estas son por lo general mucho más tímidas. Tienen recelo al hablar español (su idioma nativo es Kichwa) y mucho más si uno quiere tomar su foto. |

Great poses I agree,
exuberant about life
Hi Adam.
Great subjects! I like their facial expressions, clothing, and poses. Although they are all posed and dressed similarily, their individual personalities really shine through here. Great note as well.

Nice shot of the compañeros! Got the expressions and the vibe. The background could have been less busy...but the color they wore made it work.
