Photographer’s Note

A proud mother and daughter back from the events of Mother's Day, which in Ecuador was celebrated on May 13 this year.

It's an extremely important date, taken very seriously and events were going on all over the country. Even serenades in the middle of the night (which woke me up at 4:00 AM...)

At noon there was something going on in front of the cathedral (the building in the background), a glimpse of the crowd on the left side.

Lovely moment, very well caught, presented with some tenderness. I maybe would any more place in the background in the left, but I supose there was a reason to crop it like that.

we celebrate the day today, actually, and i am still about to call my mom...
this gesture, this EXCEPTIONAL gesture of love, respect, gratitude...honest, emotional, engaged gesture is the thing that mothers in all places in the world value most, i guess...
this is, daniel, the greatest gift to all of them today,
