Photographer’s Note
Basilika - Quitos colonial old part of town was already appointed end of the seventies as a world cultural heritage. Most impressing however Basilika throned over the old town, After a 98 years construction period it was finished in 1985. Today the Basilika is the highest church towers of South America (140 m), which could be climbed. Partly you stood outside - a phenomenal impression.
If you would like have a look to the workshop to a picture with another focal length.

Hi Achim, good view of the cathedral and the city. the POV was perfect to have a so nice view and the quality is quite good.
i think that without the small corner of mounts on the top side the view should be more...urban, more on the sprawling of the city.
thanks, ciao

Hi Achim,
A good shot of the Basilica amidst the sea of houses. The details are well captured and the space at the top allows the eyes to breathe and take a little break. I do sense a slight tilt but nothing serious. I enjoyed this panoramic view. Well done!! Regards and a nice day ahead.

Very good composition, with the great basilica watching over the sea of houses in the background.
The colourful dots of a few roofs and walls give a good effect.
All the best.

Bonjour, mon ami Achim,

Leo

Hi Achim,
You did very well this picture taking with a 70-300mm lens, you show us a splendid view of the Basilika/cathedral, and the city in panorama view, the POV are perfect to have a so nice view and the quality is quite good. Thanks for sharing.
Have a nice sunday,
John.

This is a view of Quito that I haven't seen before, Achim. I like the feeling of depth in this - accentuated by the telephoto lens - and good sharpness, but it needs rotating slightly CCW to correct the tilt. Cheers . . . David
