Photographer’s Note
Another night-shot from Quito. It shows the arrival of a Avianca Fokker 50 late at night... It wasn't windy at all but still he had some troubles with staying on glideslope. You could hear the engines running very loud and then quiet again. I took other shots where planes kept the glideslope almost perfectly straight, not this one...
I loved the view from the balcony. Always interesting...
The shot was a bit overexposed (shutterspeed around 2min.) which resulted in a lenflare in the left part of the image. Tried to decrease brightness to change that. Didn't work that well. Contrast increase helped a bit more, still not the result I expected. Well, hope you still like it...

This is a really interesting shot Andreas; I don't think I've seen aircraft light trails depicted like this before.
I'd have preferred it with a bit of light and colour remaining in the sky, but then again, the light trail wouldn't have been so visible.
Cheers,
Ben

Andreas the time exposure really does show the flight path in a accurate way. Perhaps he is a pilot in training and he took off auto pilot. Glad I am not riding in that plane. Then again the flight path is not too far off the usual landing path. Nice capture and thanks for stopping by!
