Photographer’s Note
These are kids from the Yachay Wasi Intercultural School. This very special school in Quito focuses on preserving the Ancient Andean Culture in their everyday chores, every morning the whole school gets together to do excercises or dance. This foto was captured very early in the morning, while most people were still having breakfast, these kids were thanking the sun for yet another lovely day. I think that Taita Inti (father sun) accepted this dance rather happily and came to be part of it!
