Here is my first picture of Ecuador. A lot more will follow!
I am on the equator at La Mitad Del Mundo, a village located a few kilometres from Quito, the Capital of Ecuador.
My left leg is thus in the Northern part of the globe while my right leg is in the Southern part.
Between my two legs, the monument indicating the equator. The pyramidal monument, with each side facing a cardinal direction, is topped by a 4.5 meter diameter, 5-ton globe.
Latutide 0-0-0, longitude 78-27-8.

Une idée fort originale. La perspective est un peu étonnante, mais j'aime beaucoup l'idée.

Il serait intéressant de voir cette sphère en plus gros plan.

WOW! What a great idea. Most people just stand with a foot on each side of the line but rarely are part of the picture.
Charles-Marie De La Condamine would certainly enjoy looking at this picture if he were still alive!!
