[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I have worked as a volunteer in Ecuador in an animal rehabilitation center called AmaZOOnico, it is just of the Rio Napo in Ecuador. It is a project only run by volunteers, the idea is to rehabilitate abused or abandoned animals to the wild, and then release them in a protected part of the rainforrest called La Selva Viva.
This little girl is a capuchin monkey, who was already so accustumed to people that releasing her in the wild was no succes, she just came back no matter how far away we took her, her name is Lojanita. There are about twenty monkeys living free around the project.

you can read about AmaZOOnico on

Yes watch it, they are quick and very inquisitive, I like the expression on the monkey's face.

Great photo! It looks as if he is talking to you. I like the way his face is very sharp and the rest is soft. Good job!

Before having read your notes, I was moved by the look of this little monkey. Now that I know, I find it much more touching.
Great pic, very nice focus, and congratulations for your participation in this center, Line.

cutie....... keep him, he deserves it! I think being put back in the wild often cannot work, too used to humans..... birds I fed that fell from nests, saved, usually refused to leave, and cats got them then, so sad.
