Photographer's Note

This was taken during my trip down to Ecuador. I had not been down there taking photos for five-and-a-half years. I have a project on the back stove about an organization who helps children in poverty stricken areas. This young man was intently watching me set up my softbox inside the main gathering building; so I decided to ask him to take his photo. There is a huge window that was letting in a cloudy day soft light in front of him and the soft box is high paramount slightly to the left. The organization is called Compassion International. http://www.compassion.com/

The Compassion Mission Statement:

"Releasing children from poverty in Jesus' name"

In response to the Great Commission, Compassion International exists as an advocate for children, to release them from their spiritual, economic, social and physical poverty and enable them to become responsible and fulfilled Christian adults.
