Photographer’s Note

I took this shot in Cayambé, northern Ecuador, a few weeks prior to the presidential elections. I did not really understand the way the elections in Ecuador work but what I understood is that there are several so called "listas" and they make different sorts of advertisement like driving through the city with some sound trucks or with flags on the street. Or they paint walls with their number like in my picture...
I like the impression this rather old man has on his face. It kind of looks like "yeah, whatever... I don't care at all." Probably the elections will not change very much in his life.
