Hi Paul - the typical images from Ecuador are from the Andes or the Galapagos, we tend to forget that these resorts exist, even though it looks identical to any other US or Latin American beach resort, I like seeing this different side of Ecuador. I also like the contrasts and the inclusion of the palms which give us an indication of how windy it was.
What a beautiful beach scene. I appreciated your comments about Ecuador. I really miss it now that I am back in Syracuse, NY. I didn't get to go to Guayaquil, but I'll have to stop there on my next trip.
