Photographer’s Note
We were hiking the hills of Rabida Island on a beautiful sunny day. I saw these group of cactus plants with the sun behind it. They look like any other cactus plant but the rays of the sun behind make the cactus thorns glow, so I composed parts of the plant within my frame and took a shot.
Rabida Island is located south of Santiago, Rabida is one of the most volcanically varied islands in the chain. Geologically consisting of eroded hills and lava emitted from spatter cones that have resulted in island's striking colors. A visit begins with a wet landing on the deep maroon colored northern beach.
A view of Rabida Beach may be seen in the Workshop

Hi Andre:
Interesting shot. You've captured some cool light there on the thorns. My only complaint is that the cacti are so dark--a bit of an adjustment in Photoshop should do the trick to get some more detail. But it's a nice abstract composition.
