Photographer’s Note

This photograph was taken in the ceremony of marriage in the province of Cotopaxi.
The ceremony brings together the entire community, who celebrate with the newlyweds. the lady in the foreground waiting patiently for their turn to come to receive their meal.
Grooms provide food for about 150 people in the community of the bride and about 60 guests from the groom arriving from another province.
After a long ceremony in the Christian Church of the village, is summoned to all guests who arrive with gifts and sit on the ground waiting for their turn to eat.
