Cotopaxi
This is Cotopaxi (5897m), one day before reaching its summit! It took us 10 days before being able to see it because it hid behind clouds.

The picture
This picture is a combination of 2 pictures with more or less of luminosity. With Photomatix, I combined the 2 then I used NeatImage to clarify the whole. This gives a dramatic effect, maybe a bit unreal but a not bad at all!

Wow! A bittersweet pic for me. I was about to climb the mountain but my partner got sick so I never got around to it. Excellent image of that perfect cone! I like the misty colours. Good compositional choice to include the fence as to get some foreground.

Look forward to the summit pics!

Cheers,
-m

Good landscape with excellent perspective and fine compo that lead eye from fence in foreground to impressive peak of mountain in background.

Regards Darko

Hi Simon,

I don't think this is unreal, and no matter anyway, because the shot is beautiful, is the result of many human decisions: your sight, your viewpoint, your work... everything here is very good, in my opinion. I like very much. Best wishes,

Angel.

Hi Simon.
Fantastic shot. So clear. Feel like I can reach out and touch it. I think the combination works well. There is a diffrence in the forground to the mountain but I think for my personal taste it creates interest. Well done.
Regards, Steve.

Bonsoir Simon

Gorgeous view! The fence and haze help to see the perspective.
I am planning to climb it this April. Hope the weather will be good as well :)

Thanks

Salut Simon..
