Photographer’s Note

This river is located near the small town of Salinas, between the (very small) settled area and the old salt mines that give the area its name.

Salinas is mostly known nowadays for its variety of microbusinesses, which range from chocolate and cheesemaking, to thread spinning and textile production. The area has received a great deal of support from international organizations, especially from Italy (where many products are exported), and has seen a great deal of success despite its extremely isolated highland location.

All of that, of course, has very little to do with this little river! Not having a tripod, I balanced my camera on one of the round posts supporting the bridge that crosses over the water.
