Photographer’s Note
Rising to a height of 6,267 meters (20,561 feet), the (inactive) volcano Chimborazo is Ecuador´s highest peak, and its summit is also the furthest point from the center of the earth.
This particular shot was taken while traveling west from the city of Ambato, along the highway to Guaranda. Thankfully a lot of early morning haze cleared up to offer this spectacular view.

Hi Adam,
Once again, thanks for sharing this photo of the Chimborazo. We also drove on this very same road to Guaranda and had a few snowflakes on our way. We also saw a few llamas.
Paul
