Dreams Sand (3/4)
-----------------
On this day, I presentation of the third issue of this series.

As we said before, the rivers that flow into dragging its coffee-growing area, such as the La Vieja River (photo) and the Cauca River, a source of income for coastal, enabling them to draw from the fund, own resources for the construction such as rock and sand.

But lurks concern to the inhabitants of these areas, by the erosion that is occurring in the left bank The Vieja River.

The appearance of a beach in the middle of the river, made the flow of this change of course. What causes the water to immediately shift towards the left and which has been generating erosion.

The beach that was formed in the middle reaches of the river approximately 30 meters, this makes the river divides people and the strength of the current lie on the left side, which has been eating land bit by bit.

The threat to those who live near the margins of the river is a constant. For sandmen president of the union, the solution is to make a trenches in gabions on the margin and demolition materials, labor settle the land.

Abrazos...

Hello John,

I like this photo because it is relaxed and natural, not staged or posed. The canoe is an interesting main subject alongside the person. The fast flowing movement of the water is a good capture, as is the placement of the hanging leaves and the piles of gravel to the right hand side. F/8.5 has worked well for you in this case as the background has enough detail in it but it remains a little soft so one can focus more on the main, sharp subject. Thanks for this post, it is a good series.

Matt

Hello John,

Erosion is evident on the far bank of the river. I wonder what the outsome will be after several more years. Very nice image with the man well placed in the frame. Rivers are usually excellent places to photograph because of the lively atmosphere. The colours seem fine. Overall a pretty picture. Gracias :-)

Roberto

Hola John,
Josep

Nice clarity to this shot and a good composition. The candid nature of the picture gives a natural feeling to the scene. The framing of the picture with the leaves and branches above works well, though some of it could have been cropped out a little more. Nice shot and good perspective. Thanks for sharing.

Hi John,
Good pov to give a well balanced shot, good quality with nice sharpness and good colours, well these leaves on the top of your photo.

Hola John,

Saludos
José
