In Calm Waters
................
Giving a short walk around the Reservoir of Bethany, particularly through the port set to one side in the town municipal Yaguará, favorite place for fishermen living on the livelihood of fishing that occurs in the mojarra, I found myself in several places with scenarios like this .

Given that the tide was high, many of these boats, lay quiet while waiting for their owners, to start a hard day. The waters were calm, but his reflexes and brightness, drew my attention, that did not stop and get my camera to capture an image like this.

Hello John,
very beautiful photo to see in the morning, at the beginning of the day :) I like the composition very much! The boats near the tree and the reflection in the quiet water create an original scene and make an unusual effect. Very lovely clolours of the hazy landscape in the distance!

Greetings from Malaysia!

I must confess I seldom see any photos from Colombia but I was just looking at the map yesterday and found Colombia to be next to Panama and really wanted to ask if there is a road link all the way to USA from here?

I like the most about the perfect calm still water in this shot, really reflecing very nicely the scenery of the boats and trees and the blue sky with clouds.

A very good shot.

Hi John,

I like the reflections on the quiet of the water, creating an effect as if the boats are floating in mid air. Especially the one pointed at us really seems to float out of the water's surface and out of the picture, heading towards us.

Hi John,

I can feel the calmness in this image. It almost seem like the water is also still. The view is pleasant and well composed. I think the light give this image a very peaceful feeling and adding attractive reflections. Very nice and sharp picture. Thanks John :-)

Hi John,
Nice those boats in the calm river, but i am more impressed by your exposure here. Clean, with the right amount of contrast and full with detail without over or under exposure..great work, because these kind of images are not that easy to make...good piece of work.

quite an unusual sight for me: the boat's clustered around a tree growing out of a lake... interesting composition with the branches and their reflections framing the center. how do the fishermen get to the boats? walking through the water?

What a great use of the reflection ! You've got a good eye to capture this scene, the leaves form an elegant natural framing.
