Photographer’s Note
"Giants" In The Desert
....................................
As well as Castilla (Spain) has its famous "giants" of Ingenious Hidalgo, in this vast desert of The Tatacoa come before me, so threatening, with their sharp spikes, and with the intention of preventing the passage, these "giants" and frequent inhabitants of this region: the Cactus Candelabro.
The Cactus Candelabro can reach measuring between 4 and 5 meters in height, and always consist of several bodies. Two of these cactus berries notable: one was pitaya, which is edible and pleasant - I ate more of these - and other poisonous.

Hello John,
The cacti look very attractive in this barren desert landscape. Nice soft colors and sharpness. Regards. Latiff.

I understand they are two different species of cactus as it appears to be in your picture. Which has the good berries?
In Angola they also have huge cactus, more like the left one, but I never heard about their berries.
It is a nice photo with a good POV and a beautiful sky. I like it.

Buenos Dias J.O!
